Summer Storage

Proper in-season storage is essential to keeping your boat in good condition. When not in use, boats have a tendency to accumulate rust, wear, and tear. Appropriate storage is the most effective way to prevent deterioration. Long Level Marina offers hassle-free summer storage. We eliminate the stress of transporting boats to and from your home. In our facility, your boat will be protected against damage while remaining easy to access when you’re ready to get onto the water.

Outside Storage

Our outdoor storage facility provides the easiest access; boat owners can simply drive up to their lot and hook up the trailer. We can accommodate boats up to 27 feet long, as stated on the registration card.

Inside Storage

For owners looking for more security or protection, we also offer locked indoor storage. Buildings A and B accommodate boats up to 25 feet long, while buildings C and D accommodate boats up to 32 feet. For indoor storage, length is measured from the outdrive to the trailer hitch.

Launch and Retrieval

Our summer storage clients also enjoy access to our boat launch and retrieval, or what we call “In and Out”. When you’re ready to use your boat in storage, our team of drivers will retrieve it from its lot. You don’t need to worry about wrangling the trailer or launching into the river; we’ll handle that for you. When you arrive, simply get your boat ready and loaded up, give us a call, and we’ll send one of our tractor drivers to retrieve and launch you into the water. Once you’re done, give us a call once you reach our mooring area. We will send a driver to the ramp with your trailer where you will drive on and we’ll safely take you back to your storage space.

Launch and retrieval service is performed by our dedicated drivers, who are dispatched between 9:00 am and ramp time, seven days a week, from April 15th until October 15th. Billing is included in the summer storage cost.

Winter Storage

When the boating season ends, you’ll need a safe place to store your vessel. Frost damage, fading, corrosion, and mildew can take a toll on boats that aren’t properly stored through the winter. Long Level Marina provides season-long winter storage beginning in November and ending in April.

We also offer shrink wrapping, which provides additional protection to boats in storage. Boats and all their contents, including cushions and life jackets, must be dry before applying the shrink wrap. Our shrink wrap is appropriately ventilated to prevent mold or mildew growth, and a tented top allows snow and rainwater runoff.

Winterization

Before boats go into seasonal storage, they must be winterized. The boat winterization process eliminates moisture from the engine, plumbing, and other internal components to prevent damage caused by freezing and expansion. Technicians also perform a full inspection, lubrication, and recalibration. If any engine problems or other concerns are identified, winterization provides an opportunity for repairs to make sure your boat is in perfect working condition next year.
